Madison’s day starts out in pouring rain and gets worse when student Walter Denton’s homework, an SCR shortwave radio receiver, announces a warning about an approaching hurricane. Left in charge of the entire school when the principal, Mr. Conklin, is waylaid, Madison will have to figure out how to protect the students from this horrific weather threat.
