Madison joins Gregory Hood, importer of fine goods and amateur sleuth, in San Francisco. He brings her to a meeting of the “Derringer Society,” a group of science fiction devotees. Think Star Trek fans circa 1946. They are obsessed with a woman they believe can predict the future. Could Madison have found a fellow time traveler?
